4th of July Inspired Make Up

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

there's a "happy" in there you just can't see it 'cause it's white text =P

Quite patriotic, if I do say so myself ! It's my first time going balls to the wall with make up so don't be nit picky and call me out and say it's horrible :( It's hard trying to draw a star on the side of your face! I was going cross-eyed!

What I used:

Cosmetic Grade Glitter
La Femme "Royal Blue" Pigment
MAC "Your Ladyship" Pigment
88 e/s palette for the red
& MAC Fix + Spray as a mixing medium


It's pretty much self explanatory, but for the stars I put in my big blue star, all I did was clump up some "Your Ladyship" and picked it up with a NYX white eyeliner pencil and plop the clumps onto my face. White clumps on my face...sounds......delicious..NOT!

& here's my super patriotic video..ENJOY!

$5 Ring Organizer!

 

 5 BUCKS for a 36 ring organizer?? Sick steal, RIGHT?

Yeah...kinda....sorta.


I ordered two of them and one came out perfectly fine & the other had a scratch. I'm not too anal about it so I'm not even gonna bother to complain, it does the job. BUT one thing that was weird to me was the plastic, clear part was DIRTY? I wiped it off with some windex so no biggie, but still..

I HATE DIRTY. Messy, on the other hand, is another story!

MEH, for $5 it does the deed so I'm not gonna complain too hard. As long as it organizes rings!

Buyincoins.com has a whole bunch of discounted make up & hair knick knacks as well as a whole bunch of random things! It's worth checking out but I will warn you, even though it's uber cheap the things I've ordered from there are NOT THE BEST OF QUALITY. Remember you get what you pay for! I do like their eyelashes though, it's extremely cheap. I believe it's a dollar for 10 pairs! So even if they're flimsy and what not, I think I can afford .10 a day for a fresh pair of eyelashes on the daily!

Tutorial: Light Smokey Eyes

 

 

I used Smashbox "Classifeyed" Palette & can you say PERFECT palette for blondes/brunettes who want a smokey eye without it being too harsh or raccoon eyed, or just in general for those who don't want the typical harsh smokey eye. Even though it's purple, it blends in very neutral and makes the browns in my eyes POP! 

 

& did you guys notice anything different? ANYTHING AT ALL!?

Alright, it's my hair! I did it yesterday. I put in some medium ash brown low lights to add dimension and to make my roots blend in more during the blonde "grow out". It's cost effective and gives me more time in between root touch ups! Hip HIP HOORAY!

Battle Bacon

Anybody who really knows me will tell you that I'm the weirdest person alive because I don't like bacon!! Yeah, I know, I know it is strange but something about the texture, fat, taste it just doesn't rub me right. So this experimental dish was inspired by bacon-loving friends (like Jessica), it's chicken breast wrapped in turkey bacon with a white wine mushroom corn cream sauce with brown rice & a bed of fresh herbs and greens. In hopes of battling my bacon-hating demons I challenged myself to include it in my next meal.

Ok, I marinated the chicken breast over night with my favorite spices & then wrapped them with the turkey bacon today. I oven baked them at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes with some white wine. The sauce is just a simple white sauce with mushrooms, garlic, corn and red pepper flakes. The brown rice was cooked over the stove because I'm a horrible Asian-being and I do not have a rice cooker! I suppose keeping it old school saves me money and room in the kitchen. I mean the sauce isn't the healthiest thing in the world but everything else is.... right? Maybe... maybe not but they are healthier alternatives. I mean cooking at home is way healthier than eating out right? Of course! You know exactly what you're putting in there, how much of it,where it comes from and you save money. The best part of it is, you can always experiment and tweak whatever recipes you know. Making food from scratch can be time consuming but once you get used to it, you can whip up a tasty meal within 30 mins (yeah I channel my inner Rachel Ray) as long as you know how to multitask.

For dessert, I made an orgasmic chocolate cupcake with an even better chocolate ganache whip topped with a milk chocolate garnish & chocolate covered strawberry. This was also made from scratch with a very basic chocolate cake recipe, even more basic chocolate ganache recipe & with the help of my fridge the chocolate garnish was possible. So as of late, I've been getting an unusual amount of traffic, come to find it's due to two things:

I don't know which is worse, seriously.

So ever since this post (Triple M: Purse Porn), there have been a flurry of google searches leading pervs to my site and that's not even the worst of it. There are google searches on not only me but Connie ChaCha that include porn related keywords. Such as: connie cee porn, missjessicadee naked.

HOW FRIGGIN' DISTURBING, straight up.
Save yourself a google search and just look up "PORN" & keep your grimey eyes and jerkin' jergens away from here. THANKS.

So that malicious attack, whose ammo and insult was to use me as an example to insult her, was posted on her blog (above). Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

Now what gets me is how backwards this whole thing is. This "rondachewarrior" goes on to praise Dawn Yang (can you say plastic surgery queen and if I'm not mistaken, that's considered fake) to say how beautiful she is and then goes on to bash "thebadbarbie" calling her insecure for just TALKING about surgery and then puts the icing on the cake by insulting me and saying if she were to continue wearing make up, she would end up looking like me. and not only that but linking my site to add insult to injury. BUT NO "OFFENCE" right.

NOW WHAT IN THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN.

The most insulting thing is not being directly insulted, it's being INDIRECTLY insulted and used as an insult and then taken as an insult to have someone say they would look me.

Talk about insult overdose.

On the contrary, I didn't write this post to insult anyone, I did it to vent. It's the first time I've ever been used as an insult (that I know of) and being taken as an insult. I haven't had a lick of surgery done and YES, I do wear make up but to the extent of being equivalent to the cat lady, mehh. I think anyone would be offended. So you can call me insecure or lame but I'M HUMAN. And yes, I'm not perfect and YES I do use make up to enhance myself but I don't try to overly manipulate my features. I'm not going to sit here and throw insults @rondachewarrior because it's her opinion if she thinks my face is all cake. But I will say that to go out of her way to mention my name, insult me and link my blog was totally unnecessary. It's like, not only did you want to insult me, you rubbed it in and made it clear you wanted me to see it. Clearly seems like malicious animosity... for what reason?
