Manic Makeover: Edgy Rihanna Inspired Cut & Make up

My friend's little sister has been someone I've been dying to do a make over on cause she's got such a great face but could care less or just simply doesn't know how to bring out the best in her features. I always thought to myself, "if only she would this...or that, she would be so pretty!" And the day finally came that her face and hair became my blank canvas to unleash years of accumulated visions! I get a rush out of transforming a vision they couldn't see in themselves,  into reality.

As you can see, her locks are so long this girl could single handedly cover the head of every bald headed person that walks this earth! She's a walking weave goldmine! I wanted to do a cut that would bring out her inner edginess, not going too girly but framing her face well. So yeah, I went scissor happy! But I'm pretty happy with the results, I attempted an asymmetrical bob,

This girl was not easy to put make up on! She kept fidgeting and giggling LOL my five year old stays more still for her haircut than this girl!  But it was worth it just to see the end product! She's all grown up now ;)

PIN UP GIRL..

So after much deliberation, Miss Cristina decided she wanted to be a Pin Up Girl for halloween. So this was out first try, testing out the look. Mind you, we used no hairspray or anything, just a good 'ol curling iron and bobbypins. This was just a test run so I know it may not be perfect but HEY atleast we got an idea of what it would look like ;]

Me working on her hehe ;]

Top of her hair...almost done

DONE!

So whattaya ladies think?

monolid make-over [picture heavy]

I have a few friends who generally do not like using eyeshadow because they feel as if they do not have the "lids" for it. Some think they don't have a big enough lid, it's not deep-set enough, or even monolids seem to discourage some to really work on their eyeshadow. So they stick to eyeliner and mascara or the the basic swipe all over lid e/s! Some lids are definitely a challenge, even my own eyes I feel are not "e/s easy" because I do not have deep set eyes and my crease is small, I have to sort of create an illusion of a bigger crease. Anyways, one of my long time friends Connie was in the area today and stopped by and I thought I'd give her a little makeover for fun!! She's a semi-monolid but it's definitely different working without much of a crease but I'm always up for a good challenge!!!

This is Connie before:

& this is Connie after:

In the picture you can see how I contoured where I would imagine her crease would be if she had one there. I contoured to create the illusion of a lid and it ended up working out pretty nice!

She got into camera-whore mode lol

Doesn't look like she has a double lid??

I just had to throw one in there of just me ;]

What I used:
Simply Naturals Piggies- Egypt[outer v], Green Apple[Inner lid], & 24k Gold[Highlight]
Clinique Concealer & Sephora Face Powder & Ulta Bronzer for warmth

double make-over:graffiti eyes & valiant smokey purple

So I did a double make-over today YAY! They're sisters, can you tell? Anyways, I really thought that it wasn't going to turn out that well because I just wasn't feeling the color combo we picked out but after some blending, eye poking, sticky eyes, it all turned out pretty well! I did both their brows, I couldn't make it super clean because that would take awhile with tweezers.
Miss Tina BEFORE

Miss Tina AFTER!

We called it "Graffiti Eyes" because it was just a mesh of colors, kind of like the graffiti you see on the walls of the freeway, it looked more so in person.

Close up!

This is Andrea, Tina's sister. I did a simple purple smokey eye, something that would go well with her skin and bring out her eyes ;]

Group Picture! There's serenity distracted by the tv lol

Aww they look so gorgeous!!
