 SAY WHAT!? A DOLLAR!?

Yes, it's all true. I did not falsely lure you into reading my post, all the type is true to hype ;)

 I originally had just bought the white and gun metal colors just because I wasn't trying to get TOO excited about these considering how much they were. I mean c'mon, nowadays you definitely get what you pay for or luck out. THANKFULLY, I lucked out. I found these babies at the dollar depot by my house and when I saw how well it worked...(y'know I have such high cracking standards) I had to buy more.






Now, another recent addiction of mine has been working out. I am definitely on that summer bod grind. So, I stopped by my local SPROUTS market (best market, EVER.) and picked this up. I don't know how well it works yet but I'm a simple girl. All I wanted was some whey protein powder, low in carbs with no added sugar , yummy and OH YOU CAN'T FORGET..CHEAP!!!

Dollar Polishes & TokiDoki

Hola, just wanted to give you guys a quickie on a couple things I've bought. Probably going to do a review video on other things I bought. Thanks for reading & don't forget to follow me on twitter & youtube @conniechacha

Here, I bought 5 off brand nail polishes from a nail warehouse in L.A. called SkyLine Nails. The colors are true to what you see & the best part is.. everything in this pic was only $1!!!! Yes, even the piggy bank from the Dollar Tree was only $1. Didn't have to break the bank and all this stuff lasts just as long as any big brand.

For Valentine's Day, I decided to buy myself something & of course my boyfriend as well. It's always so hard to shop for a guy but since my boyfriend loves Marvel, I decided to buy him & myself TokiDoki skate decks. I bought him the limited edition Marvel Skate Deck2 ($68) and myself the Las Vegas ($60)deck. Since the factory is in Los Angeles, I received the package the next day! Black Shatter

My friend and I were out having lunch when she was telling me about Katy Perry's new nail polish, Black Shatter. She was saying how badly she wants it, went to the two nail shops near by to see if it was available and it wasn't :( After I leave our lunch date, I go to my bf's house & what do you know, his sister has Black Shatter! Needless to say, @melindaah was super jelly ! (yeah, I got pretty lucky w. this lol) For those of you who don't know what Black Shatter is, it's basically a nail polish that gives you that "broken glass" design w.out having to do much at all. Here's what to do:

1. Apply a clear coat on your nail first

2. Choose a nice bright color & apply ! (gray looks really nice with it)

3. Apply Black Shatter on TOP of your pretty color **

4. Watch the magic work within seconds of application!

5. Always a TOP COAT !

**Quick Tip for Black Shatter:

The thinner the application of Black Shatter, the thinner the lines are.

The thicker the application of Black Shatter, the thicker the lines are.

This bottle will run you about $9, which is pretty pricey but you don't need to pay the nail shop extra $$ for a design! I also love that it dries quickly, great time saver. Unfortunately, it only comes in black... for now. Hopefully they come out with other colors soon because I lurrve this stuff!

Please forgive the length of my nails :( They break from bball! This is a great product for those people who have a hard time putting designs on their own nails.

French Tips Without Polish?

Sounds like a cool concept right? Well awhile back I went to Sally's to pick up a nail buffer and saw this product and thought I'd give it a try, for 99 cents it couldn't hurt ;]

Flowery 7" Professional Nail White Pencil Claims:
To give natural nails a french manicure look without polish

Directions:

Moisten tip of pencil. Gently draw under the tip of the nail.


There's Tina filling in underneath her nails. LOL I made her do it so I wouldn't have to remove my nail polish.

Overall, it obviously can't give you a straight up french manicure look but it does whiten the nails and gives it a naturally clean dainty look. This would be good for those who's nails may not be white, some of us have a yellow-ish tint to their nails maybe from their nail polish. Or maybe your nails are super clear and you'd like them to be white. For 99 cents you can't go wrong, it's easy, mistake-proof, you can't spill or make a mess with it and it's good for on the go and it's easy to keep in your purse for touch ups!

NAIL ART

I was just supposed to take a nap today and instead woke up 7 hours later!!! Good lord! But in my previous post I purchased a nail art kit, so I attempted to do a earthy textured, camouflage purple with rhinestones! You can tell me if looks like crap, I think it kinda does. It's no way near anything as nice that Alyssa does. But I tried ;[




And here's a pink look I did for BCA(Breast Cancer Awareness) month. It looks kind of brown but it's PINK. I'm planning on doing more looks encorporating as much as possible for this month, but that's a whole lot of pink for me HAHA. But I liked how this came out simple ;]

GET A ROOM! [boudoir look: Gray & Gold]

Before I get into my BOUDOIR look, this is just a lil' somethin'-somethin' I picked up at the dollar depot a couple days ago. I have a previous pack that I bought there that is a little different, the rhinestones are circular and teardrops and it came with pearls, flowers, and glittery thing-a-majiggs. This one comes with square rhinestones, pearls, hearts, and large glittery thing-a-majigs. They both came with glue and a wooden stick to help pick up and push around the thingies. LOL. Anyways, these babies are 99 CENTS! So it's a definite steal ;] So stay tuned for some nail art I'll be doing with this baby.

So the boudoir look is definitely something that must be classy and sexy. Sometimes girls get carried away with the big hair and dark make up they end up look like a dirty stripper or pornstar =x hehe. So I kept the look soft, but fierce and the hair wavey a bit. I just took some mousse and crinkled my hair with it by just grabbing sections and being flimsy with it ;]
